Rotation Archetype Overview

Jabberwock Dragoncraft is a unique variant to the traditional Ramp Dragon that is focused on using the effect of Jabberwock to transform small followers in extremely powerful ones! In order to utilize this ability effectively, the sample deck below limits the PP cost of the followers to either 2-PP or 8+. This way, you are guaranteed to summon a large follower for the price of just 2-PP followers. As stated above, the deck is reminiscent of the traditional Ramp dragon builds, so it can fight just fine even if the Jabberwock combo is not available.

Key Cards and Reason for Inclusion

Lyria, Azure Maiden: This card has good synergy with Jabberwock in two different ways. First, it has a self-damage-nullifying ability, so it has a relatively high chance of staying on the board, which makes her good food for Jabberwock! Second, her Enhance effect pulls Proto Bahamut out of the deck, almost guaranteeing Azi Dahaka and/or Zooey is summoned from Jabberwock.

Jabberwock: The star of the deck. This follower destroys all of your other followers, and summons followers with a higher cost than the destroyed follower.

Proto Bahamut: An important AOE for the deck that is searchable by Lyria and Jabberwock.

Zooey, Arbiter of the Skies: One of two Storm finishers for the deck. The 10-PP version of the card can also come in clutch as it makes you virtually invincible for one turn.

Other Candidates for the Deck

Waters of the Orca: A spell that allows you to summon multiple Orcas on the board. It pressures the opponent to get rid of them; otherwise it will be used as food for Jabberwock!

Moon and Sun: A nice spell to have in Ramp-based decks, as it can help with board control and repeatedly put a follower on the field that can be used for Jabberwock.

Mulligan Targets

Dragon Oracle: Like most Dragoncraft decks, early Ramp helps out a lot.

Dragon Sanctum: Although it is a bit slower than Dragon Oracle, this is a nice, non-follower way of PP-boosting.

2-PP followers: This deck does not have as much burn spells/effects as traditional Ramp Dragoncraft, so it is important to have 2-PP followers to trade with early aggression from the opponent.

Rotation Deck Mulligans

Dragon Oracle: Like most Dragoncraft decks, early Ramp helps out a lot.

Dragon Sanctum: Although it is a bit slower than Dragon Oracle, this is a nice, non-follower way of PP-boosting.

2-PP followers: This deck does not have as much burn spells/effects as traditional Ramp Dragoncraft, so it is important to have 2-PP followers to trade with early aggression from the opponent.

Rotation General Gameplan and Tips/Tricks

Early-game

PP boost: Self-explanatory advice for any Ramp-based Dragoncraft deck. Try to utilize Dragon Oracle and Dragon Sanctum for early PP boost. Be careful if your opponent is an aggro deck though, use cards like Force of Dragonewt and Whitefrost Dragonewt Filene to stop them!

Mid-game

Expolit early PP boost with powerful cards: Hopefully you were able to play some PP-boosting cards in the early game. During the mid-game, use powerful cards such as Canyon of the Dragons to overwhelm the opponent. If a Dragon survives, that’s another food for Jabberwock!

Late-game

Drop the Jabberwock bomb: As soon as you have a follower or two (preferably more) on the board, drop Jabberwock to turn them into powerful Storm finishers! In the late game, you want to try and play Lyria with her Enhance cost as much as possible; this allows you to pull Proto Bahamut out of the deck. A nice, 10-PP play is playing two Lyria with her Enhance cost and playing Jabberwock with the remaining 8 PP.
