Rotation Archetype Overview

Jormungand Bloodcraft is a very tricky deck. The entire goal of the deck is to get Jormungand out as early as possible and forcing your opponent to have to kill it. Once one of it is dead, you can control the game rather easy by using your self damaging cards to keep wiping your opponents board and softening them up for the finishing blow!

Vira Knight Fanatic: Vira is primarily here to help cement your mid game. When you evolve it, it is a very difficult card to kill for your opponent so more often than not they will have to either spend a lot of resources to deal with it or they end up leaving it alive. There are also times where it can be used as a way of preventing yourself from losing the game.

Evil Eye Demon: This is an excellent option to go with Jormungand! It's accelerate ability later in the game will activate your Jormungand leader abilities but on top of that, if you have an evolution point remaining, you can use it's evolve ability to deal damage to all enemy followers equal to the amount of times you did damage to yourself throughout the game. Regardless of which mode you choose to play this card in, Evil Eye Demon is going to show her value many times over.

Jormungand: The Name sake of the deck. The whole reason you pick the deck! Once he is active, he can deal 1 damage to each of your opponents followers and to them! This means that each of your self harm cards become a way to kill your opponent!

Darkfeast Bat: To help compliment the self harm way this deck is built, Darkfeast bat helps take advantage of that by dealing damage to your opponent for each time you did damage to yourself during the match! That makes this card an excellent finisher for the deck!

Rotation Deck Mulligans

  • Any 2 PP Follower
    • Demonic Ram is a card you would rather hold until after you are able to play cards that take advantage of it. However, it is still a 2 PP follower and if it is the only one you have available to play, you should play it.
  • Jormungand
    • You generally don't want to have to dig for this. Although, it is understandable that you won't want to keep this because it is a later game card and bad vs aggressive decks. However, you this should be a definite keep vs control based decks.
  • Snarling chains (if going second)
  • Wardrobe Raider (If going second)

Rotation General Gameplan and Tips/Tricks

  • Your entire is to try and stay alive long enough to play your Jormungand. Once played, the game drastically shifts and even forces your opponent to have to play differently against you.
  • If you are unable to play Jormungand, you want to try and play as aggressively as possible. You still have to win the game.
    • There were will be several different match ups where you won't be able to land Jormungand because your opponent transformed it or banished it. In these scenarios, you must rely on applying pressure into the early game and using Darkfeast bat to help finishing them off.
  • Vira, Night Fanatic is your bridge to survival. Against aggressive decks, they have a very difficult time dealing with it and you can even force them to pass their turn.
