Lion Crystal Havencraft is a deck archetype that was powered up immensely with the release of Brigade of the Sky expansion. The main focus of the deck is to obtain and cast Holy Lion Crystal multiple times per game, to continuously flood the board with mid-sized followers. Holy Lion Crystal gains more value as you play them, ultimately dishing out a 4/4 follower with Storm! In the past, this deck has struggled to consistently access Holy Lion Crystal, but this is no longer an issue. The current, popular version of the deck has an interesting mana curve, where most builds only run cards that cost 3 or less.

Key Cards and Reason for Inclusion
Holy Lion Crystal: The core of the deck. Cast this spell multiple times and aim to finish the game with Holy King Lion!
Temple of the Holy Lion: A powerful support card of the deck that replenishes your PP by one every time Holy Lion Crystal is casted. This card also adds a copy of the spell to your hand.
Prism Swing: A 3-PP destruction spell that also adds Holy Lion Crystal to your hand.
Other Candidates for the Deck
Jeanne, Beacon of Salvation: A 3-cost follower with decent stats (⅔) that can be used as AOE in the mid- to late-game.
Themis’ Purge: An AOE that removes all followers regardless of size. Depending on the popular decks of the meta, this deck definitely has the potential to shine.
- Holy Lion Crystal / Temple of the Holy Lion: Definite keep as they are the core of the deck. Temple of the Holy Lion is the most important card in the deck.
- Princess Snow White: Good follower to keep the opponent followers’ in-check in the early game.
- Blackened Scripture: Good early follower removal. Generally, only keep if going second, unless the opponent is obviously an aggressive deck.
- Prism Swing: Good early destruction that also nets you a Holy Lion Crystal
Setting up the field: As stated in the mulligan, you want Temple of the Holy Lion as soon as possible. Once you play it, every Holy Lion Crystal you play afterwards is essentially 1-PP cheaper!
Going Aggro: Because Holy Lion Crystal is accessible in so many ways in this deck, do not worry too much about holding on to the spell. If you’re able to get two Temple of the Holy Lion out in turns 2 and 3 AND you have three Holy Lion Crystals in your hand (of which two should have came from Temple), you can play all three for just 3 PP! The result? Two 2/2 and one 4/4 follower on turn 4!!!
Legendary Fighter Combo: Legendary Fighter is a niche card that can reach its full potential in this deck. Low cost spells and amulets (there’s even a 0 cost amulet here) are ample, and you can access early evolution through Princess Snow White. By putting a 1-PP spell in the deck, Legendary Fighter can activate as early as turn 4.
Manage your Holy Lion Crystals: In the mid-game, it is important to maximize the value of Holy Lion Crystal, so you will be playing it for its Enhance cost (5 PP) many times. Try to line up 4/4 followers every turn but be very careful not to lock your own board. Also, remember that it is very important to play as many Holy Lion Crystals as possible, so if you have excess spells and have a full board, you may want to play it anyway.
Manage your PP: This deck has nothing but low cost cards, so during the mid-game you will have a plethora of options for cards. Careful management of your PP (especially when Temple is up) is key!
Finish with Holy King Lion: Starting from the 7th time you play Holy Lion Crystal, a Holy King Lion will be summoned, which is a 4/4 with Storm. Lining up multiple copies of this follower is your final push. A common play at 10 PP (with at least one Temple) is to play the spell twice at its Enhance cost and once as a 2-PP spell, to get three 4/4 with Storm on the board for 12 damage.
