Rotation Archetype Overview

Midrange Forestcraft is quite different from aggro. The aggressive deck focuses on putting out as many token fairies as possible to pressure the opponent through massive tempo. The midrange deck aims to be more controlling of the board state through the use of various cards such as Metera, Peerless Shot and Cassiopeia.

Rotation Core Cards

Card
Expansion: Brigade of the Sky
Expansion: Brigade of the Sky - Mini Expansion
Expansion: Starforged Legends

Metera, Peerless Shot: A card that seems to be designed perfectly for midrange and control decks, Metera has a powerful follower removal ability upon evolution, and also gives card draws everytime it clashes.

Elf SongIn junction with all of your other fairy generation cards, elf song completes the package by allowing you to not only generate more fairies, but make your board bigger and harder for your opponent to deal with.

Sky Devouring Horror: Your main win condition. Although it can be a little difficult for you to be able to get the buff effect. In the late game it is definitely possible through the use of Fairies and Fills (From Kurwa being played).

Rotation Alternative Options

Card
Expansion: Starforged Legends
Expansion: Brigade of the Sky
  • Purehearted Singer: Although the deck has plenty options to fill the hand, few copies of Purehearted Singer can ensure that the key cards of the deck are drawn at a high percentage.
  • Godhunter Selwyn: A versatile option that has its use at any juncture of the game. It also has a large enough for advantageous trades against many other followers in the meta.

Rotation Deck Mulligans

  • Any 1 PP Follower
    • Water Fairy is the ideal choice.
    • Tia can be played if there are no other 1 PP followers in your hand. But you want to try and get the most out of her ability if possible.
  • Any 2PP Follower
    • Insect lord is a keep if you manage to have a card like Water Fairy
  • Luxglave Bayle
    • You want to keep this because you want to reduce the cost as early as possible.
  • Metera, Peerless Shot
    • Best if going second

Rotation General Gameplan and Tips/Tricks

  • As a side note, clever usage of Airbound Barrage is key to success with the deck. This card not only deals 3 damage to a follower for 1-PP, but it can also be used to recycle cards for their powerful abilities. Good targets for Airbound Barrage are Insect Lord and Storied falconer.
    • You can also use Airbound Barrage to reuse your Tia's over and over. This can help generate a massive advantage.
  • Do your best to manage the cards in your hand. You don't want to be caught in a situation where you burned all of your cards too early. At the same time, if you find that your opponent is weak and you don't think they will be able to answer your board, definitely push as hard as you can.
  • Sometimes it is completely okay to play a Gilnelise, Omen of craving down and just let her sit there. Very few cards in the game right now are able to interact with ambush followers so this is a perfectly acceptable strategy to set up for lethal.
  • When you build a board, try to make the strongest board you can possibly make, that is one of the keys to winning with this deck!
  • Metera, Peerless Shot is not quite the same as Rayne because when you play her in the early to mid game, you aren't able to play additional followers beside her. However, her ability to help you draw cards is definitely something you want moving forward.
  • You want to try and play as many fils as possible throughout the game. In the late game, you can attack with followers twice if you played enough of them. On turn 10 or higher, you can play this on your Sky Devouring Horror to close out games.
