Unlimited Archetype Overview

Nephthys Shadowcraft is a deck that is centered around its main card, Nephthys. By using her ability to kill her own followers, she pairs very well with shadows goal to generate shadows as well as provide an overwhelming shift in momentum when played due to creating so much board presence. Because of how the deck works, it does suffer from some deck building restrictions to reach the most consistent outcomes.

Unlimited Core Cards

Card
Expansion: Rise of Bahamut
Expansion: Rise of Bahamut
Expansion: Base Set

Nephthys: Your entire deck is going to be built around this card. While she herself is a decently sized follower at 5/5, she can also help generate advantage off of your cards last words effects since when she comes into play, she kills all of your followers summoned by her. On the turn she is played, she can literally turn a game completely around by summoning Underworld Watchman Khawy as it kills your opponents strongest follower and gives you a health boost!

Mordecai The Duelist: Mordecai is this decks primary win condition. When he is killed, he just resummons himself back into play! This means that unless your opponent has some sort of Transform or Banishment effect, Mordecai isn't going anywhere! Trading into it does literally nothing as he is a practical immortal. The additional benefit of this card is that when it is summoned from Nephthys, it comes into play right away due to it's last words effect!

Death's Breath: As this deck is capable of generating a fair amount of shadows, Death's breath is one of the best cards for helping defend yourself until you get into the late game. Without its necromancy effect, you are able to simply just use it as a way of summoning followers to apply pressure. But, if you do have the shadows, it becomes a massive defensive wall that ca be difficult for your opponents to clear in a single shot.

Unlimited Deck Mulligans

  • Nephthys
    • There can be an argument made for keeping this card because you want to make sure you have it for the late game. However, in faster match ups, you definitely want to get rid of it.
  • Any 2 PP Followers
  • Zombie Party
  • Fran, Monster Girl

Unlimited General Gameplan and Tips/Tricks

  • Nephthys Shadow is a deck that requires a very different style of deck building. You want to build your deck to generate as much advantage and consistency as possible. Below are formulas you can use as an example.
    • 2-3-7-8 Play Points: This is the most consistent formula for this deck. It allows you access to shadows key followers while giving you the ability to maintain the usage of cards such as.
      • Lurching Corpse
      • Lady Grey
      • Attendent of Night
    • 2-4-7-8 Play Points: This is less common due to the fact that you lose access to your 3 PP followers. However you do gain access to some other very interesting options
      • Ceres of the Night
      • Twilight Queen
  • Your early game is quite weak with this deck. You're going to be very reliant on your early game removal spells rather than your followers to fight against the early game play of aggressive and mid range decks.
  • Depending on your Nephthys deck construction, you will be able to generate a ton of advantage on the turn she is played through cards like lurching corpse and Underworld Watchman Khawy; clearing the way for your Mordecai the Duelist.
  • Don't be afraid to use your evolution points to stay alive. This is not a deck where you want to be aggressively pushing against your opponent. You want to do everything in your power to survive until you can dominate.
