Deck Overview

DISCLAIMER This may not necessarily be a good deck, it's just an interesting way to play. There are also optional cards included which I'll explain.

What's better than winning? Winning in a fun and ridiculous way.

The overall strat is to overwhelm the opponent with Mordecais they can't get rid of. Things to watch out for are Banishes, decks likely to have banishes are bishops and nemesis decks.

Early game goals are to stay alive and try to use burial rite on 1 mordecai before evolve. If you can use burial rite on both types of mordecai (Gold and Legenday) then that's even better.
DO NOT use burial rite on anything that is 8 cost or higher.
Ever dark strix heals you when you perform a burial rite when it's on the field so use that for more survivability.

Mid game goals is to procure ways to summon the buried mordecai. This deck provides many ways to do this after evolution is unlocked, the fastest way to summon a buried mordecai is to use ceridwen(gold) on turn 5 and evolve her. Next is to use Ceridwen(legendary) and use the eternal potion on turn 7. Finally there is the death dragon caller on turn 8.
Please note that Ceridwen(gold) has been nerfed and can only summon the mordecai(gold) this is the reason why there is only 2 in the deck. There is no need for a third one because she needs an evolve point and the later turns you would have other options and/or summon mordecais directly.

Tl;dr There's no need to play more than 2 ceridwen(gold) and make sure you are trying to reanimate the gold mordecai not the legendary

Also note there is a small difference between the two mordecais, gold and legendary, and they are not necessarily stronger than each other. The gold one has a permenant last word which resummons itself, meaning it cannot be removed from the field other than being banished. The legendary only gains a last word to summon itself after it evolves BUT it auto-evolves if it is summoned by reanimation meaning it can move immediately after being reanimated.

Tl;dr the legendary mordecai can rush enemies but can only die once, the gold one is annoying stays on the field forever.

Late game goals are to fill the board with mordecai and win. (Note: getting rid of enemy followers takes precedence)

Mulligans: Whatever suits you best, either start with a hand that ensures you have things to do at the beginning or start with the core cards to the strat.

Optional cards
Half the deck is filled with optional cards, you can choose to swap them out but here's a list of why and why nots for each optional card I put in and you can decide if you want to use other things. But first!

Honorable mentions with funny abilities
Ferry, Spirit Maiden
Throw away 2 cards in your hand on turn 10 to allow the followers on your field to attack 3 times usually resulting in instant victory, problem is it needs to be on turn 10 and you need 2 free spaces on the board to do this.

Underworld Ruler Aisha
If you have 10 necromance when you play her she evolves and can attack twice, play her at 10 cost and she gains storm and can deal 10 damage to the enemy leader in one turn. She's also useful for mid game if you need a rush card but you don't want to waste an evo point.

Optional card explanations

Charon(Gold)
Why
Charon's fanfare ability puts a 5 cost card into your hand, the only 5 cost card in this deck is ceridwen(gold) meaning you will definitely get ceridwen to reanimate a mordecai if you somehow don't have any other cards to play. Also she has an evolve abilty that decreases a cards cost by 5 FOR 1 TURN giving it some flexibility.
Why not
There are plenty of cards with reanimate, she's just a safeguard card, replace as you see fit.

Ceres
Why
Ceres is a rather good card with survivability effects, healing you every turn and deals 2 damage before an actual clash meaning she can wipe cards with 2 health without taking damage
Why not
She's not core to the strategy, trade her out for other things like spells or amulets that you feel could help you survive

Staircase to the heavens / staircase to paradise
Why
Helps you draw more cards and with a necromancer deck hell bent on sacrificing followers, it fits in perfectly.
Why not
There are other cards that help with drawing cards, also, it only draws followers. If you like using other cards with draw abilities or have spells that you feel are necessary, feel free to use the others. Also the translation is strange.

Lady Grey
Why
Low cost card with drain, helps surviveability and a card to play at the beginning
Why not
She's not core to the strategy and you will not and should not be using her evolve ability. Trade her for any other low cost.

Lurching corpse
Why
An excellent low cost card that can kill an enemy follower when it dies, good for combination moves involving cards that need to kill an allied follower like demon eater or necroassassin.
Why not
It's not core to the strategy, if you feel like you have another low cost card you'd like to use then use that one.

Necroassassin
Why
It's a good mid cost card that randomly kills an enemy follower by sacrificing one of your own on fanfare, good for triggering last words, good for strategies.
Why not
She's not core to the strategy, if you have another mid or low cost card you'd like to use, use that instead.

Skull widow
Why
A good low cost card with a draw ability on death, good for combination moves that involve killing an allied follower.
Why not
There are other cards with draw abilities, feel free to use one of those instead or another low cost card.

Demon Eater
Why
She's a low cost card and can draw a card by sacrificing an allied follower, good for triggering last words.
Why not
There are other cards with draw card abilities, feel free to switch her out for another with draw card abilities or low cost card.
