|Deck Cost: 150|
So this deck was made to troll but it actually did pretty well, I am a2 and I went 7-4 in ranked. Obviously, this score isn't all too impressive but it actually won a few games which made me really surprised. But in all honesty, I think if they drew better cards I would be more around 5-6 or 4-7. Hope you enjoy! This is a deck mostly geared towards Beginner ~ C rank, helps them develop their trading and game knowledge sense, not really for competitive play. More for learning, and if you just have shit cards.
I wanted to let you guys know about some of the reasons of why and how this deck works.
Why I made this deck?
Like I said, I made this deck for beginner~ C rank to help them learn about valuable trading and understanding your own and your opponents decks. I believe that if you understand how to use your cards to their maximum potential it would be better to understand an easy deck then a complicated deck at first. For example, these are all the most basic cards in the game, as in they are all free from the game, learning how to use these will help you to develop your game sense. Game sense, the understanding of the use of your cards to make them have an optimal use, if you master this then you can obviously do well with other top tier decks such as, midrange shadow, vengeance blood, and aegiscraft.
How this deck works:
Basically it's quite simply. All you are looking for is a 1,2,3 mulligan hand or some sort of variation of it, want to look to clear for turn 1, face turn 2, clear turn 3, and then improvise from that point on. You want to flood the board till turn 5 and control while still having the most value in your followers to prepare for your sage commander to come into play. A lot of players don't expect swordcraft players to run sage commander so once you have a full board and they go face, you can OTK them if they are about 12~15 health with a full board and buff from sage with an evo buff. And it's game over for them.
-The element of surprise is what really makes this deck good, throwing them off with basic cards to make them think you are trolling but then you hit them with a sage commander OTK. This all relies on them though to greed for face over control. Most players don't care for 4 1-2 and 1-1 followers, which will make them want to go for face instead, and if you play the deck right you will already have dealt about 5-6 damage at the least.
Keep in mind: There are a lot of substitute cards you can use in this deck that I can agree with, yes. For example:
Albert: Best card in swordcraft, good at carrying your board and closing out games.
Alwida's command: Super value card but you trade for the sage commander drop, but this is good situationally.
Death's Dance/Tsubaki: Great to clear big wards to allow for face damage to go through.
Vagabond Frog: Meme is good, meme is great, meme is life
Luminous mage: High value with 2 followers, good combo for sage commander.
Side note: Will be coming out with more budget decks in the future.
