Deck Overview:

This is my personal mid shadow deck that i'm using to climb to masters- besides my mid sword deck. I've been experimenting with it on ladder and i have made few tweaks to make this deck withstand the current meta better. Those tweaks are :

  • Removed 2 Attendants, added 2 Rabbit Necromancers. This change is made to counter combo decks like D-Shift, and allows you to go more aggressive and also make better early game trades against more aggressive decks, or to take the initative if you go first. It's been doing me good so far, i'm able to put a lot of pressure against the opponent if i managed to draw into this.
  • Removed 1 Cerberus, added 1 Mordecai the Duelist. This deck's hard wincon, Mordecai basically gives you 5/5 storm at the start of every turn, assuming it doesn't get banished. It also provides a free body for Necroassassins, Demon Eaters, and most importantly, duplicates itself using Urd. I added this in simply because i want a self-sustaining threat lategame that can't be ignored, and also can combat cards like Aegis and Polyphonic, since i've been seeing Polyphonic increasingly often on ladder recently (Also i don't wanna play a goddamn Catacomb).

The exclusion of 2 attendants are a shame, but i value the ability to trade and put pressure on the board more in the current meta against decks like aggro blood and neutral sword. I was thinking of adding Feena and/or Goblin Princess since playing Cerb on 5 isn't exactly stellar board-wise, but i can't find a place for them.

How's this deck doing on the ladder? I consistently got 3-6 streaks, and i can feel that the inclusion of rabbit necro brings a significant difference, especially against D-Shift and hyper aggro Blood.

UPDATE (v1.1)

  • Decided against running 2 Urds. Removed 1, added 1 Necroassassin. Primary reason being that Necroassassin takes more advantage of the dead 2 drops like Lyrial and Soulsquasher in lategame, and is able to essentially trade it off with a big minion. I'm on an 8 win streak in AA2, so that must be a good sign, right?
