09/10/18 ~ 09/16/18 Statistic
Last week, Shadowcraft has seen a decrease in play and it appeared that popularity for the deck was waning. However, this week’s data showed the exact opposite. Shadowcraft usage has hit its all-time high this week, with this single class representing approximately one-third of all used decks. The other top 3 members, Bloodcraft and Runecraft, has seen a slight decrease in play.
The win percentage leaderboard in Unlimited has been consistently topped by Forestcraft and Shadowcraft. This week, Forestcraft has slipped just outside of the 50% mark, and it appears that majority of the classes did poorly compared to the previous few weeks. Although the direction of causality is debatable, there is a high correlation between the explosive increase in win percentage for Shadowcraft and the decrease in all other classes. Shadowcraft, therefore, has broken a record in two departments this week, reaching an overall win percentage of 59.3%. The current situation resembles Shadowcraft’s dominance in the Tempest of the Gods season and it is very likely that card adjustments will hit cards in this class soon.
Usage and Win Rates by Archetypes
|Archetypes||# Used||# of Wins||Win %|
|D. Shift Runecraft||680||286||42.1%|
|Earth Essence Runecraft||196||79||40.3%|
Midrange Shadowcraft has hit an all-time high win percentage of 60.8% this week, a large increase from an already god-like figure of 57.3% it had last week. Many players may have been worried to see Forestcraft go under the 50% win rate mark this week, but they can be reassured that OTK Forestcraft is still a great deck to play, dishing out a 52.5% win rate. Many of the other archetypes have not done so well this week, dropping over 4%, most likely attributed to the overwhelming dominance of Midrange Shadowcraft.
Matchup Data for Top 3 Classes
|Opponent Archetype||Midrange Win %|
|Vs. Midrange Shadowcraft||N/A|
|Vs. Darkfeast Bloodcraft||60.1%|
|Vs. D. Shift Runecraft||64.2%|

|Vs. Tenko Havencraft||67.5%|
|Vs. Aggro Swordcraft||64.6%|
|Vs. Vengeance Bloodcraft||67.6%|
|Vs. Earth Essence Runecraft||67.3%|
Midrange Shadowcraft has hit an all-time high in overall win percentage this week. Consistent with that achievement, the matchup breakdown for the deck is simply astonishing. There probably has never been dominance like this before in the history of Shadowverse, where a single deck has achieved a 60%+ win rate against all other relevant decks in the meta. Also, it can be noted that many of these numbers are actually approaching the 70s, which are rarely seen in any Shadowverse matchups.
|Opponent Archetype||Darkfeast Win %||Vengeance Win %|
|Vs. Midrange Shadowcraft||39.9%||32.4%|
|Vs. Darkfeast Bloodcraft||N/A||52.4%|
|Vs. D. Shift Runecraft||67.2%||57.1%|

|Vs. Aggro Swordcraft||36.7%||60.0%|
|Vs. Vengeance Bloodcraft||45.0%||N/A|
|Vs. Earth Essence Runecraft||75.0%||42.9%|
This week, Bloodcraft has quietly maintained its spot as the second most played class. Darkfeast Bat variants are still the more popular deck, even though Vengeance Bloodcraft has better matchups superficially. In a head-to-head, Vengeance Bloodcraft seems to have a slight edge over its counterpart, most likely due to a weak board presence in the Darkfeast deck during the mid-game, whereas the Vengeance deck plays many powerful followers between turns 4 to 7.
|Opponent Archetype||D. Shift Win %||Earth Win %|
|Vs. Midrange Shadowcraft||35.80%||32.70%|
|Vs. Darkfeast Bloodcraft||32.80%||25%|
|Vs. D. Shift Runecraft||N/A||50%|
|Vs. OTK Forestcraft||28%||11.80%|
|Vs. Tenko Havencraft||78.30%||33.30%|
|Vs. Aggro Swordcraft||15%||50%|
|Vs. Vengeance Bloodcraft||42.90%||57.10%|
|Vs. Earth Essence Runecraft||50%||N/A|
Runecraft is still represented by two archetypes: D. Shift and Earth Essence. A quick glance at the chart makes this class quite unattractive, but rest assured as this these decks are powerful. Unfortunately, D. Shift has been having a difficult time this meta, due to the popularity of fast decks and decks that like to spread out followers. The win statistics of Earth Runecraft is quite surprising, as this deck had many favorable matchups at the beginning of the season.
