The most significant news this week is the rising popularity of the Golden City Havencraft deck, rising to 2nd from 8th last week. Notably, the top two archetypes have a negative win percentage, a rare sight in the Unlimited meta. Midrange Shadowcraft and Face Dragoncraft are also still popular, with those two decks arguably doing the best in win rates.

Matchup Data for Top 3 Classes

Bloodcraft
Bloodcraft
Opponent Archetype Darkfeast Win % (Other) Win %
Vs. Darkfeast Bat Bloodcraft N/A 52.4%
Vs. Golden City Havencraft 50.6% 32.4%
Vs. Midrange Shadowcraft 44.1% 47.8%
Vs. Face Dragoncraft 32.7% 21.7%
Vs. (Other) Bloodcraft 47.6% N/A
Vs. Roach (OTK) Forestcraft 39.8% N/A
Vs. Mysteria Runecraft 61.1% N/A
Vs. Midrange Swordcraft 50.9% N/A
Vs. (Other) Runecraft 86.0% N/A
Vs. Aggro Swordcraft 33.3% N/A

Darkfeast Bat Bloodcraft remains to be the popular choice among the Unlimited players, although there has been a slight decrease in usage since the last week. At first, the deck may seem unattractive because of the data, but this is most likely due to the difficulty in piloting the deck at the highest level (note that the data includes Master Rank down to B/C Ranks). Piloting this deck requires practice and a thorough understanding of the damage potential of the opposing deck. With potential card adjustments coming soon, it will be interesting to see how the deck performs in the coming weeks.

Havencraft
Havencraft
Opponent Archetype Golden City Win %
Vs. Darkfeast Bat Bloodcraft 49.4%
Vs. Golden City Havencraft N/A
Vs. Midrange Shadowcraft 45.4%
Vs. Face Dragoncraft 35.3%
Vs. (Other) Bloodcraft N/A
Vs. Roach (OTK) Forestcraft 48.3%
Vs. Mysteria Runecraft 53.4%
Vs. Midrange Swordcraft 59.5%
Vs. (Other) Runecraft 73.9%
Vs. Aggro Swordcraft 19.7%

As predicted from last week’s article, Golden City Havencraft has climbed up the ranks to become the second most popular deck in the Unlimited format. The current build seems like an ‘accelerated’ version of the old Storm Havencraft deck, and many decks are unable to keep up with this firepower. Like the Darkfeast Bat Bloodcraft matchup spread, the value of the Golden City deck is hard to measure with the data alone; especially because the deck concept is new. Nonetheless, the near-even matchup with the popular Bloodcraft deck is definitely attractive.

Dragoncraft
Dragoncraft
Opponent Archetype Face Win %
Vs. Darkfeast Bat Bloodcraft 67.3%
Vs. Golden City Havencraft 64.7%
Vs. Midrange Shadowcraft 57.0%
Vs. Face Dragoncraft N/A
Vs. (Other) Bloodcraft 78.3%
Vs. Roach (OTK) Forestcraft 66.3%
Vs. Mysteria Runecraft 70.9%
Vs. Midrange Swordcraft 38.2%
Vs. (Other) Runecraft 66.7%
Vs. Aggro Swordcraft 53.4%

Face Dragoncraft has been consistently placing 3rd to 5th in terms of popularity since the start of the season, and this is very interesting considering the matchup spread it has. With virtually no bad matchups in the current meta, Face Dragoncraft is definitely one deck that is in danger of card adjustments in the coming weeks.
